I'd be lying if I said I hate to say I told you so. But FEMA chief Michael Brown has stepped down -- and said specifically that he was doing so in the best interests of the president.

Believe him. Because now Bush's hard core can continue believing Bush never screwed up, while the ambivalent can tell themselves Bush has solved the problem. Here's how I saw Bush turning Brown to his advantage in a post from a few days ago...
